"Resistance causes friction,
friction throws a spark,
sparks turns into fire,
fire lights the dark.
Light illuminates the heart.
We can all somehow do our part"

ART27 - The Artist Collective, founded in Sanyang / The Gambia, in 01/2025 by Mr. Ferenc Donderer and a proud
Member of the NCAC (National Center for Arts and Culture) since 06/2025.
Our Artist Collective - ART27 - is a initiative, the result of a group of artists working together, usually under their own management, towards shared aims. In a non-hierarchical Collective, leadership isn't confined to a single approach. Instead, it becomes fluid, adapting to the needs of the team and the context.
What do Artist Collectives do?
An Artists Collective is a Group of Artists who collaborate together to create and Exhibit Art.
Artists Collectives can be made up of any type of Artist, including Painters, Sculptors, Photographers, and Videographers, Musicians and Performers.
In the past many Artist Collectives had and still have a major and significant influence on the various epochs of Art History.
The aim of the ART27 - The Artist Collective can include almost anything that is relevant to the needs of Painters & Sculptors, this can range from:
- purchasing bulk materials in Europe and Asia
- sharing equipment, space or materials
- organise exhibitions & workshops
- a professional WWW presence, gallery style
- search of financial sponsorships and private supporters
- involving the local media (print, web, radio and television)
- collaboration & invitation from/to international galleries
- brainstorming by quarterly meetings, beach and BBQ... :-)
- share ideologies, aesthetics, respect & tolerance
- freedom of religious and sexual orientation
- and, even living and working together as an extended family.
